On December 3-4, 2025, we were in Bangkok for Affiliate World Asia - one of the most important events of the year for everyone in affiliate, mobile, and eCommerce. And one of those places you keep coming back to.
What AWA Bangkok Is
Affiliate World Asia is an annual conference held at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. In 2025 - 7,000+ attendees from 110+ countries, 300+ exhibitors, and 35+ speakers who are actual practitioners. The agenda was on point: AI-driven campaign optimization, Meta and TikTok in 2025, post-iOS attribution, performance strategies for Asian markets.
How It Went
We had a booth, and both days were packed with back-to-back meetings. AWA runs on its own rhythm: mornings start with a team sync and planning the day, daytime is all communication and negotiations, evenings turn into informal events where essentially the same conversations happen - just in a more relaxed setting. Three days fly by like one. Sleep is minimal, and the pace never lets up.
One thing that genuinely stood out: amid thousands of new faces, familiar ones kept showing up - people we'd crossed paths with at other conferences and events. The industry is big, but AWA reminds you that everyone kind of knows everyone.
One honest note for first-timers: AWA is built entirely around communication. Three days of non-stop networking is the format, not a side effect. Come ready for it.
What We Saw in the Market
AI is no longer an experiment - it's the standard. Creative optimization, bidding, analytics: the question has shifted from "should we try it" to "how do we scale it." Asian markets are in sharp focus, with lots of conversation around Southeast Asia, localization, and local publisher relationships. Traffic quality remains the central topic - fraud, user verification, retention - the market is getting stricter. In-app advertising keeps growing, and we see that directly in client requests.
